Mothers queue to attend a clinic run by Save the Children UK in Mazar-I-Sharif, North Afghanistan immediately after the city had been recaptured by the Northern Alliance supported by the US forces. Large numbers of people had been displaced from their homes into tented camps in the mud. Save the Children UK operated clinics which had been functioning throughout the fighting.
