'Friendship Bridge' connects Uzbekistan to Northern Afghanistan over the Amu Darya (Oxus) River. These border guards are Uzbek - taking photos of the bridge is, needless to say, forbidden - I was told that I would be arrested if I tried to take another picture of this Uzbek train bringing supplies to General Dostum, the ethnically Uzbek Commander of much of Northern Afghanistan following the success of the US & Northern Alliance forces.
